Inventory Auditor

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Overtime: Must be available to work overtime as needed based on business demands

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Auditor to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, inventory reconciliation, and data management within the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience operating a stand-up cherry picker forklift, and a proven background in inventory control within a warehouse or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

Inventory Control & Auditing

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts.
  • Perform physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Investigate inventory variances and identify root causes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory locations and ensure proper product placement.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory counts.

Warehouse Operations

  • Operate a stand-up cherry picker forklift to access inventory stored at elevated rack locations.
  • Verify inventory quantities, product locations, and lot information.
  • Assist with inventory transfers and adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.

Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to track inventory activity and generate reports.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, shortages, overages, and discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory logs, count sheets, and audit documentation.
  • Support management with inventory-related reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous inventory control, inventory auditing, or cycle counting experience.
  • Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
  • Experience operating a stand-up cherry picker forklift.
  • Ability to accurately count and reconcile inventory.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.

Preferred

  • Experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
  • Forklift certification or previous equipment operation experience.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse best practices.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday with possible overtime as needed by the company.
